We made it out. From The Midwest To Success, is a collegiate level podcast featuring and hosted by Ac Wilson and Miranda Perez, two students, at Clark Atlanta University. As our friendship grew, we began to comprehend the ins and outs of our childhood traumas. We believe that one of the best ways to work through a traumatic past is through reflection and understanding. Episode 2: The Loss of a Parent is about a shared trauma between the two us. In this episode we air out our emotions regarding our parents’ passing, but more importantly what we gained from it.

Throughout our matriculation, we found that our narratives overlap in regards to our upbringing, childhood traumas, and the reasoning behind us moving 10+ hours away from home, in order to better our lives. Episode 1: Life After Clark Atlanta University, introduces us in our most authentic form, focusing on why we chose CAU, what our working degrees mean to us, and how we will work to change to world post-grad.

Meet My Co-Host

Ac Wilson is a Sophomore currently enrolled at Clark Atlanta University. His major is Mass Media Arts with a concentration in Radio/TV/Film. Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ac prides his background on social hardships and creative expression. Being the youngest of his seven siblings, has allowed him to understand adversities of black men and therefore has enabled him to rise above them. Follow Ac on Instagram @ac_toofamous
